Craft fair mania

I am starting to stress out about the craft fair that I've signed up for. I, of course, put too many items on my plate that I am supposed to be making. Painted dishes, martini and wine glasses, pinecone wreaths, light blocks/presents....and they all need so much attention!!! AND I keep thinking of new items that would be awesome to put in the fair(I know!) Thanks to all of you that have purchased things already...makes me feel like it's not all for nothin'. and less to carry to the 2nd floor of the auditorium! I'm open to ideas to paint as well.....the well is starting to run dry!

Mini Chiefs fans

Luke dressed the kids for Sunday Football. I caught them playing in Jolene's room and thought this was pretty cute. Then later on, Luke was palying on the couch with the kids. Emmett was dog tired and fell asleep, but Jolene kept right on playing. Too cute.

Pumpkin Party

Instead of the pumpkin patch this year, we decided to check out the pumpkin party at the CMA church. They had a very large variety of pumpkins to choose from and games, food, and a playground for the kids to blow off some steam. Dawn and her kids met us there and we had a good time. She had gotten the boys matching halloween shirts which was pretty cute in pictures(Jolene is wearing a Darby/Cooper original!). Jaren and Emmett had their faces painted, decorated cookies, and ran circles around everyone. Emmett was asleep in the car before we made it home. Jolene just played with her pumpkin and then tired to eat it. She cried when she realized it didn't taste so good.
The weather has stayed unseasonably warm and we are due for a change here soon. So we are trying to get out and enjoy it while we still can!

Bomar/Aragon reception

Mom came back up to watch the kids so Luke and I could fly out to Denver, then drive up to Vail to visit with Sara and Eric. It was nice to be able to spend some time with them and friends, as well as have some time to ourselves! We stayed Friday night with Sara and Eric at their place in Eagle Vail, and then the second night we shared a room with Jenny and Doug in Beaver Creek. The reception was at an open air pavilion just up the road from Eric's place and it was a gorgeous day. Almost too warm for the sweaters I packed! October in Colorado....you just never know! After the party ended at the reception, quite a few people went back to Sara and Eric's house for the after party that lasted well into the night. There were lots of fun people and lots of olives and pickles to be eaten. Sara decided to have party games for leftover bottles of wine and Vodka. She had people eating cups of olives and tons of pickles while the rest of us were chanting them on. It was definitely a sight.

We just barely caught the tailend of the leaves changing colors. What we did see was certainly beautiful. So glad we got to be a part of their big day.

Emmett made the front page!

Emmett and Luke went to the fireman's open house last week. It is fire safety month and they had lots of fun activities for the kids to participate in, like a obstacle course and getting to use the hose to put out fires. What a great photo!!! I will have to add some of the photos that Luke took of the event!

Emmett's superhero cape

Before we left for out exhausting trip, Emmett recieved a package in the mail from his friends, Darby and Cooper Anderson. It was a super hero cape accompanied with a letter from the girls. The note read that they had run into Batman at the park and told him about Emmett and how brave he has been taking his medications. So Batman had Robin get a cape made for Emmett to join in his super hero team. Emmett loves his cape and we read the note ALOT. Unfortunately, we left the cape at mom's. Good thing she is coming on Wednesday with the cape. Emmett is really missing his special cape. He runs and "flys" around the house when he wears it(in fact, it is really hard to photograph!). We all miss the cape ;)
